How escrow protects your payment
Understand how Dukan's escrow system keeps your money safe until you receive your item.
Payment is held securely
When you purchase an item, your payment is held in escrow — a secure holding account managed by Dukan. The seller cannot access the funds yet.
Seller fulfils the order
The seller packages and ships your item, or arranges a handoff. Delivery is tracked through the platform.
You confirm receipt
Once you receive the item and are satisfied, confirm delivery in the app. Funds are then released to the seller.
Auto-release window
If you don't confirm delivery or raise a dispute within the auto-release window, funds are automatically released to the seller. This protects sellers from indefinite holds.
Disputes protect you
If something is wrong — item didn't arrive, is damaged, or doesn't match — you can raise a dispute before the auto-release deadline. Our team reviews the case and can issue a refund.
